Our CrossFit community is a key component of what we do. This is because our members turn up everyday to train with others who encourage and motivate them to push themselves and never give up.

 

The support network within the box is part of what makes CrossFit so great, it brings people back every day because there is no feeling like training with friends and being surrounded by others who want to see you hit your fitness goals.

"CrossFit has helped contribute to a change in mindset towards exercise for me. I now workout and move my body to feel good rather than to look a certain way. 
I would comfortably say that I am in the best shape I have ever been in as a result of turning up to a variety of programmed CrossFit sessions. There has also been a huge shift in my mental health since joining the box and I leave every session feeling positive, regardless of how my day was going.
The Market Town community is the thing which makes CrossFit so special to me. Everybody is amazing, they will welcome you with open arms and help you to achieve your goals. There's really nothing like it.

Hi, my name is Lewis. I am one of the owners of Market Town CrossFit & also a part of the Coaching team.

 

Fitness has always been a huge part of my life. From as early as I can remember, I competed in swimming, shooting, running and horse riding all the way through to my late teens. I then moved onto training at a local gym looking to build strength and trained in a few different martial arts.

 

With my competition background, my passion was always going to be in performance training. I started CrossFit in 2016 & I never looked back, always looking to push my strength and fitness to the next level.

Hi, I'm Joe! I am one of the owners of Market Town CrossFit & also a member of the coaching team.

 

I have been a keen fitness enthusiast my whole life. I like to use my fitness in everyday life & my hobbies include CrossFit, swimming, climbing & running.  

As an ex-infantry soldier I have a good understanding of the need to being physically fit. My life time goal in fitness is to be as fit as I can for as long as I can. I believe fitness should be carried throughout your entire life.

JOE SUTTON

Before CrossFit I was a Powerlifter. I worked towards big numbers in the Squat, Bench, & Deadlift. I did one heavy rep then sat down for 5 minutes before attempting another. My cardiovascular capacity was ... abysmal, to say the least.

 

After 5 years of training and finding different styles but never settling, I found CrossFit. It's the best thing that's ever happened to me, & I've never been fitter. Qualifying as an L1 Coach was a no-brainer! Now, I have the certification skills & experience to help others achieve their fittest & best self, just like I did when I first stepped through the doors of Market Town CrossFit.

You don't know what you're capable of until you do it.

GEORGE O'CONNOR

I have always had a passion for sport & fitness, after attending a group fitness class in 1991 I decided that this was what I wanted to do, I wanted to teach. I trained as a group fitness instructor in 1995 at the age of 21 and have been teaching a wide range of programmes ever since. I have been running my own fitness business since 2003 which consists of personal training, fitness sessions in private health clubs, local authority leisure centres & within the community and schools. I am also a former Beachbody LIVE UK Master Trainer.

 

I was first introduced to CrossFit by my husband in 2013, after my first induction session I was hooked. Having personally experienced the results both physically & mentally from CrossFit, I felt the next natural step for me was to become a coach. I gained my Level 1 qualification in 2018. 

 

My aim is to provide safe, effective, & inclusive coaching on how to move correctly throughout training & to share my passion for CrossFit & our community. There is no better feeling than watching our members put consistent work in & grow into CrossFit athletes.

NICOLA MURPHY

I've been coaching CrossFit since 2017 & started as a temp teaching a mobility class. Being from a rugby background, I've always tried to fix my own personal mobility issues & use this knowledge to help others with theirs.

 

I'm also a qualified massage therapist working from the Market Town CrossFit box & I also teach CrossFit Kids classes.

I walked into my first CrossFit class in 2012 and it was the best thing I ever did. No matter where your fitness level is, you are always welcomed and accepted. No exceptions.

I started coaching in 2017 and absolutely loved it. From seeing someone's hard work pay off and finally achieving that first pull-up, to helping people move well so they can be fit and healthy well into old age. 

After years of detesting exercise, CrossFit has allowed regular movement to be something that is enjoyable and motivating for me and I'm just so excited to help other people find that same passion for training.
